Wednesday Want is an admittedly casual one. I loved this picture of Baby Strawberry rocking her first bowl and cereal and milk all on her own and felt, as it is her birthday coming up, I should let you in on a secret. Nestled between a million brightly colored boxes at our grocery store is one demure little stack of our favorite cereal. It seldom has a toy in the box, a sale, or any flashy characters grazing it- but Chocolate Cheerios are the real deal. My son has discovered their magical powers ('Try these sister, they turn the milk chocolate!') and I've started storing my limited supply in the farthest reaches of the pantry to avoid detection by the children. Oh sure I share, but I want to make sure these babies aren't subjected to any children's kitchen experiments. You know, the ones that end with cheerios all over the floor (that the dog won't eat any more from over-exposure!) And I fill most of their bowl with plain cheerios first- trust me, it still tastes great, these babies are magical!
Have you had Chocolate Cheerios before? Is there another cereal I'm missing out on? If only I could get oatmeal to taste as good as a nice bowl of cheerios and sliced strawberries...
PS I checked my favorite store and sure enough our favorite cereal is a suprisingly great deal on Amazon (especially with the subscribe and save option and free shipping right to your door). Who knew?
Love that photo. General Mills should be paying you to license that photo and promote that cereal!ReplyDelete
So sweet. I agree with the other commenter- this could totally be an ad!ReplyDelete
Sign me up for Amazon baby. A steady supply coming direct to my door. I might think I've died and gone to heaven.ReplyDelete
I love the photo as well, especially that little girl and all the touches of red. Nice telephone ;)ReplyDelete
Wonderful photo - Chocolate cheerios sound great to me!ReplyDelete
What a beautiful picture! It looks like it came out of a magazine. Chocolate cheerios sound great, in the UK we can only get the regular or honey nut :-(ReplyDelete
At 55 am I to old for Amazon Baby?? My girls use it and love it. But I don't use many diapers!ReplyDelete
Darling photo, I like most flavors of Cheerios.
I love that photo esp how her left foot makes me imagine how active those little feet are under the table.ReplyDelete
Oooh chocolate cheerios? i think i need to search for these at me store!! thanks for sharing.ReplyDelete
ps. i totally think you should try shredded wheat strawberry. the sugary frosting on the little shreddy squares tastes like strawberry goodness and there's a tiny dab of strawberry filling in the center. my new obsession. they also have blueberry (tried and didn't love) chocolate, brown sugar and cinnamon, and fruit-filled.
pps. i have that SAME apron. yay ikea!!
Stunning, homey, lovely photo. I feel like I'm in your home.ReplyDelete
Baby Strawberry is so dang cute. Have I really not met her yet?! Where did you get the high chair? love itReplyDelete
Thanks for the sweet comments everyone! Love hearing favorite cereals and that I'm not the only one who wants chocolate for breakfast occasionally. Too bad GM doesn't want to send us Cheerios, that would make for a bunch of happy campers around here!ReplyDelete
Kendra- I got the high chair at Goodwill a few months ago and spray painted it my beloved Rustoleum 2x Coverage in Colonial Red. It's holding up really great surprisingly, too! The biggest problem with the chair is her attachment to it, she won't share it with ANYONE! :) At least she likes it!
